Sail Away With Me....

Just HOW adorable is this boat print sundress from Toppers?! Perfect with my cream H&M straw floppy hat to channel that 'riviera chic'.

Be My Valentine???

Yesterday was Valentines Day (or Sant Ffolant in Welsh). Myrddin and I went out for a beautiful meal to a local 'gastropub' called The Groes Inn. It was actually the first ever pub in Wales did you know?! The food was absolutely delish, but rather than ordering dessert we bought a packet of their speciality homemade fudge to enjoy back at home whilst snuggled on the sofa watching Glee!! I also received my first EVER bouquet of flowers which most definitely made me smile. I found my outfit yesterday rather cheesy though, a pussy bow blouse adorned with tiny black velvet hearts! Talk about dressing for the occasion?! I also wore my MAC coral coloured lipstick for the first time in ages. I'm always a bit weary of wearing brightly coloured lipsticks as I normally wear quite colourful clothing so it can look a bit much.

Also, here are a few photos from my trip to Edinburgh at the weekend. Wales beat Scotland 24-6 (yessssss) so there was ALOT of celebrating to be done!

Headgear and Ombre...

Coral Shorts - Topshop
Polka Dot Shorts - TBA @ Urban Outfitters
Floppy Hat - Topshop
Socks - Urban Outfitters
Bow Head Wrap - ASOS
Nail Varnishes - American Apparel

I am off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a weekend of drinking, rugby, drinking and... did I mention drinking?! So excited by now, but am thinking I best pack lots of warm clothes as it is normally a lot lot colder up in the North and you never know when it may snow in scotland! Hopefully will have lots of photos to share with you afterwards. I am sure I will manage to fit in a bit of sight seeing. I don't think anyone should visit Edinburgh without visiting the castle.

Got my hair done at Toni&Guy in Liverpool today.... it's kind of ombre, but I'm not entirely convinced. The brown at the top of my head is a bit darker than I had imagined, but I have been reassured it will fade after a couple of washes. I also managed to pick up a few bits I had been coveting as photographed above. I LOVE the floppy hat. My Mum reckons she had one almost exactly the same back in the 70s complete with cute heart cut outs. Shame she didn't keep it as it would have saved me a few pennies. Not sure where I'll wear it, but I love it all the same.

Have a good weekend one and all.

Accessories Please!

I absolutely ADORE these pink See By Chloe sandals. Would anyone like to lend me a few hundred squid so as I can purchase them?! I am going to Liverpool on Thursday to go and get my hair done at Tony and Guy.... I am going BLONDE!! Goodness knows how it will look but I fancy a change. Wish me luck! Whilst I am there I intend on hopefully buying the floppy hat from topshop as well as some of the nail varnishes from American Apparel. xoxo

Weekend with windmills...

Had a lovely weekend all in all. My Aunty put on a magnificant buffet on Saturday night and I ate more then my fair share!! Myrddin got back from his snowboarding holiday on Sunday so we spent the day together. We wen't for a lovely run in the car on Sunday afternoon. He took me to lots of beautiful places I had never been before and we ended up on top of an amazing hill just in time for the sunset. I also had plenty of snuggle time with Rwdlan :) Happy days!

Tweed + Cape

Woke up this morning to be greeted with an almighty hangover after an evening drinking copious amounts of wine with the girls. I don't think I can handle more than a couple of glasses any more! A sign of my age! So not feeling 100% myself but still managed to cobble up some kind of outfit. Comfort comes first today and these tweed shorts of mine are SUPER comfy! I found them when I was moving house and I hadn't worn them for ages. It was a nice surprise. Don't you just love it when that happens? This is why I never throw anything out, you never know when you may want to wear something again. Teemed it with my grey jumper which I think is THE most worn item in my wardrobe. I love it! My cape is from French Connection and is great on these chilly days. I love the cute pom poms hanging on it.

This week was also St Dwynwen's day. Dwynwen is the Welsh patron St of love, and it is basically Wales' answer to valentines day. This prompted me to bake some cute pink cupcakes using my trusted Hummingbird bakery recipe. I think they turned out quite well. What do you think?
