Peter Pan...

Peter Pan Collared Blouse - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Leather Shorts- Topshop
Ok so it may be a little unimaginative to be wearing an outfit entirely from one shop, however what can I say, I LOVE Topshop! I ordered this gorgeous peter pan collared blouse from Topshop online the other day. I was a little wary as to whether it would ever actually arrive due to the conditions of my veeeeery long drive. However the delivery man was very persistent and managed to deliver the parcel to me regardless. Thank you Mr Delivery Man :)
So here it is. I am so pleased with it, I seem to be drawn to anything camel coloured at the moment and I am loving that peter pan collars are everywhere. My boyfriend doesn't seem to agree though as he described it as something his Grandma would wear! Hey, but what do men know?! The only teeny weeny fault I can find with this blouse is that it's slightly see through. Really looking forward to rocking it out and about.
I was supposed to be heading to the city of Lincoln this weekend for a University reunion. I was looking forward to all of the girlies being together again soooo very much. Not to mention visiting the Christmas market and drinking gallons of mulled wine. But unfortunately this weather has forced us to cancel. This has come as a bit of a blow, but I suppose theres no point risking getting stuck somewhere miles from home.
Went ice skating last night. I meant to take some photos to post on here but I forgot my camera. We all had lots and lots of fun though, and I am proud to say I did not fall over (which is a first for me- clumsy is my first name!)
Until next time.....

Old Tappestry Bag...

Just a quick outfit post to show you my pre-sledging outfit. Once I received the phone call from my cousin and her boyfriend, I promptly changed into something more sensible, including a massive padded ski jacket. The head wrap remained firmly in place though...

Yesterday was Myrddin (the boyfs) 21st Birthday and so I braved the snow and ice to treck up to his parents house. I have to say it was pretty scary driving in such bad conditions, especially since where he lives is much higher up than my house. I don't think my footwear was the most sensible choice considering, however I didn't think wellington boots would quite cut it for such a special occasion! We then went on from his house to a beautiful restaurant called The Queens Head where I ate my weight in a stunning mushroom and asparagus risotto, followed by possibly the nicest steak I have ever tasted. Beaut. It was a shame that the birthday boy couldn't have a birthday drink as he was forced to drive seeing as he has a 4x4 and I'm not sure my little Renault Clio would have coped!!

We had a lovely evening and I can't wait for his surpise birthday present which will be MAGICAL! The look on his face I am hoping will be priceless.

I must also apologise for the state of my room in these pictures. Since moving back home into my parents house it has been a struggle to contain all of my things in one room. I have FAR to much junk. And far too many clothes. I may have to start selling them on Ebay soon otherwise I will have nowhere to sleep!

Christmas wishlist...

It has come to that time of year again, and what with all this snow thats about it's got me feeling pretty festive. Sunday afternoon was filled with mugs of Whittards White Chocolate hot choc in front of the fire (mmmm), snowy walks and my yearly visit to the Christmas grotto at Snowdonia Nurseries (minus sitting on Santa Clauses lap!).

Being snowed in however may be fun for a couple of days, but after nearly a week of being stuck in the hills I am slowly going mad! This has prompted me to scour the internet in the hope of compiling a Christmas Wishlist. (I am hoping my lovely, sweet, kind boyfriend is reading this and might get the hint!!!! Subtle much?!)

So here goes....

  • Topshop black faux leather A-line mini skirt
  • Topshop knitted charcoal lace patch jumper
  • ASOS peterpan collar jersey dress in camel/black
  • ASOS cotton pocket shorts in camel
  • Urban Outfitters fur headwarmer in nude
  • Urban Outfitters BDG patch sleeve sweatshirt
  • Urban Outfitters bird locket necklace
  • Benefit Dandelion blusher
  • Bobbi Brown Bronzer
  • Chloe perfume
  • Twilight Eclipse DVD
  • Harry Potter years 1-6 DVD set
  • Rihanna, Loud

Yes, OK so the list is fairly long...but these are just ideas and I certainly do not expect to get ALL of these items.

There is however one other item I am REALLY hoping for off the parentals and that is a new camera. Mine has seen me through many years in university and beyond, but I am afraid to say the time has come to upgrade! I am also hoping that once I do have a shiny new camera i will be able to post more outfit shots onto my blog as at the moment 1. The quality isn't that great and 2. I have nobody to take the photos for me (my self timer work is slightly shoddy)!

Anyway, I hope all of you have been compiling Christmas lists and are feeling as festive as I am.

Keep smiling

To Be Adored...

Thought I would share with you my new winter party frock. It's by the wonderful designer TBA and ticks all the trend boxes. Lace - Check. Velvet - Check. Camel - Check. Embellishment - Check. I love the little pom pom detailing and can't wait to team it with my black suede peep toe wedges for the perfect festive look.

The Colours of Autumn

I'm not sure about you, but my favourite time of year is once again upon us. There is nothing I enjoy more than taking a stroll on a crisp, sunny autumn day, jumping in the leaves and collecting conkers! I think the colours of autumn are beautiful with their warm palette of browns and reds.

A short story...

The amazing weather we've been having recently has prompted me to get my pasty legs out and attempt at getting a bit of colour on them! My favourite shorts of the moment are pretty, printed numbers or my vintage wash, high waisted denims. Perfect teamed with an oversized striped t-shirt.

MY Jellycats

♥♥♥

Horsing around...

Living on a farm, I had ALWAYS wanted a horse of my own. A frequent scene when I was younger was me begging my dad and stamping my feet for my very own pony. (God I sound like a spoilt brat don't I?!) Daddy never gave in and so until I have enough money to buy one myself (and I am responsible enough to look after one myself!), these horse printed lovelies will have to suffice....

Some new shoes...

I couldn't resist these pink lace-ups from NW3 by Hobbs.
I first spied them back in February during a shopping trip to Manchester with the mother, however with a price tag of £175 I decided very sensibly to resist. And boy am I glad I did as on a recent trip to Liverpool I discovered they had been reduced to £99. They were also the last pair in the shop, and in my size too. It must have been fate!

I had also been coveting these Topshop wedges for a while and decided they were the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. A pretty pastel shade and comfy as well. What more could a girl need?!

To bang, or not to bang.......

Bangs/fringes, whatever you would like to call them, are a tricky matter for me.

I have always been one of those people who lusts after a thick full fringe a la Lily Allen, and so I hastily enter the bathroom armed with a pair of nail scissors and a comb in hand (never a good combination!) and end up leaving the bathroom looking more like an 8 year old who's been attacked by her mother! Uh oh!

Maybe I should leave these sorts of things to my trusted hairdresser, who seems to know my hair like the back of her hand and always gets it right. Unlike me. Each time I sit down in her chair the same phrase greets me "You've been at it AGAIN??! Right, let's see what we can do" And an hour later I emerge a new woman, fringe and all.

But I'm still not sure if a fringe is actually for me. Some people just seem to really suit it and manage to make it look all bohemian and nonchalant. Yet no matter what I do I still seem to look like an overgrown school girl! Ah well... maybe I should just face the fact that I will have to stick to my sweeping side fringe.

Here are some people who definitely get the full fringe right:
